Chapter II — Manifesto
The house has never released a photograph. Since its first season, every DUAFE look has left the atelier the way it arrived — as a line. A sketch is not a compromise; it is the garment at its most honest, before gravity, before the fitting, before the flash.
Harmattan is the dry season made visible: dust that softens the horizon, a wind that presses cloth against the body and then pulls it away. Seven looks study that weather — veil, wind, laterite, haze, ember, mirage, and the first rain that ends it all.
Every visual in this maison is drawn in code. No camera, no render, no borrowed archive. Bone thread on off-black; one red seam where the eye should land. When the line is right, you can hear the scissors.

Chapter III — The House
The house
of the comb
Duafe — the wooden comb — is the Adinkra symbol of beauty, care and the tender act of preparation. Adjoa Duafe founded the atelier in Accra on a single conviction: couture is drawing you can wear.
The atelier keeps no photography studio. It keeps a drawing room. Clients sit for a line portrait; each collection is fitted first on paper, then on the body. Seven seasons on, the house archive holds four thousand drawings and not one negative.
